We only stayed one night in the hospital and came home the afternoon of April 1st. (I'm always happy to get away from the constant interruptions in the hospital.) The kids were so excited when we arrived home and had made the sweetest banner and cards for Ruby.

Meeting Ruby Magnolia
Watching the kids meet their new baby sister was one of the sweetest moments. They were so excited to see her and hold her. They were all so sweet and gentle. I was glad my mom could be a part of it too. It was a huge burden lifted knowing that the kids were being well taken care of at home while Ben and I were at the hospital. After spending some time with Ruby, everyone headed to the cafeteria for dinner and then returned for a few more minutes with the baby. Simon was bouncing off the walls by this point, pushing every button in sight. The kids, especially Elsa, were really sad to leave the hospital. They wanted to take Ruby home with them right away.
