carving pumpkins.

the zoo.

I promised Elsa that I would take her to the zoo when I got back from Peru. And she reminded me every day until we were finally able to make it happen. All she really wanted to do was play in the prairie dog tunnels. It was really crowded with school groups so we saw some animals first. By the time we got back to the tunnels, it had started to rain. Luckily the rain cleared out all the kids and didn't stop Elsa from having a great time.

And now to start catching up with all of the fall festivities...

Amelia's class had a field trip to Cox Farms so I took Elsa and Oliver and met her class there. The kids loved the hay ride and had fun on the slides. It was really crowded so her class didn't have time to do a lot before they had to leave, but I stuck around and let Elsa play for a few more hours after the crowds had died down. She loved the goat village.

the last of the peru posts...

...until I sort through all of my videos. And develop the film from my Diana.

We spent our last morning in Cusco wandering the narrow streets, visiting another museum, buying chocolate at the chocolate museum, and lingering in a very beautiful church and convent (Iglesia de la Merced). We flew back to Lima that afternoon and then flew home the next morning.
