My new favorite thing to do in the city is bike around it at night. Ben and I took our bikes downtown the other night and rode all around Hains Point and then to the Jefferson Memorial and all the way up the mall to the Capitol (where we had a show-down with a segway tour) and then down the other side to the Washington Monument and then down to the Lincoln Memorial. My favorite time to see the monuments is at night and we've finally lost the crazy crowds of summer. I've also decided that the Jefferson Memorial is my favorite.
Night bike rides are so much fun, and you have such great places to ride around in the city. Hopefully I'll get out to your house one of these days and you can show me around the memorials.
