Our first stop after her arrival was lunch at Honey Pig, a Korean BBQ place. The food was delicious. And I don't know if it was the sizzling meat cooking right at our table, the tv, or the Korean Christmas carols being played (with a little Gangnam Style thrown in), but Oliver was really into it and was actually a pleasant eating companion (he remained seated AND liked the food). The girls opted to have cereal when they got home.
The previous day was Ben's birthday so my mom treated him (us) to a night out with babysitting which was so nice. The kids were happy to be left with Grandma and Ben and I got to enjoy a movie together (Skyfall).
Elsa and Oliver enjoyed riding the metro with Grandma one day so we could show her how to navigate her way to work that week.
Basking in the warm glow of the ipad one night.
