our house is a zoo.

Our house is frequently converted to a circus, a fashion show, a store, a restaurant, and whatever else Amelia and Elsa can come up with. They created a game called "airplane" that they play with Ben whenever he's willing to indulge them. They pretend to go on a trip on an airplane. They pack their bags and Ben issues airline tickets to their preferred destination and then acts as the ticket taker, flight attendant, pilot, and sometimes the taxi driver that takes them to their hotel when they arrive. The girls love it.

Last Saturday the house became a zoo. Animal enclosures were set up all over the house, even in closets. Amelia made a sign for the zoo, posted the rules, and put signs at every animal enclosure. She even orchestrated a ribbon cutting ceremony when the zoo was ready to open.

(And no, I don't brush their hair on Saturday unless we leave the house.)

(Rule #9 was very important because I was told the monkeys were very mischievous.)

(The American Girl dolls were on the staff.)

I witnessed the birth of a penguin and the birth of a panda. There was also a special ticket issued for an aquatics show and I got to feed the dolphin.
