Fire in the sky.

Maybe it's because this is our last fall in this house, but our trees seemed especially stunning this year and I could not stop taking pictures of them. I loved looking out the window and seeing the brilliant reds and oranges against the bright blue sky. Most of the leaves have fallen now but our Japanese maple is just now turning a beautiful dark red.

We don't ever remember our crepe myrtles turning red before. I will miss these beautiful trees. They produce the most beautiful purple blossoms a few times each year.
