Kirsten and her kids came to visit for a few days and we had such a great time. My kids were in heaven. The minute they arrived, all the kids were in the backyard getting right down to business. They always create some kind of elaborate pretend world with an interesting back story, usually revolving around the idea that they've been orphaned. This time their parents had died and they were left to take care of themselves. Also, they were living in pioneer times. They were busy canning vegetables from their garden, making dinner, cleaning up dinner, and tidying up their cabin. (Again, why doesn't the energy surrounding these pretend chores ever translate to real life?)
