Historic Oakwood Cemetery

I stopped at the Oakwood Cemetery to take a closer look at some blossoming trees. Nearly 1,500 Confederate soldiers are buried there, along with many prominent political figures.

Rockville: F. Scott and Zelda

alexandria cemetery

Our Sunday evening stroll last week was at the Alexandria National Cemetery. It's only five minutes from our house and we had never been! I love wandering around old cemeteries and this particular one is beautiful. The girls busied themselves collecting wild strawberries and Oliver was happy to roam around on his own and investigate the headstones.

Harrie + Harriet. And how about a name like Urquhart Ansley.
