We usually make it to a Nationals game every summer. Somehow this summer got away from us but we managed to make it to one of their last games a few weeks ago. (Seats were only $2!) Ben's parents met us at the stadium. We avoided rain but it was a really foggy night. I kept thinking I wasn't seeing clearly because the field was so foggy.

Elsa and Oliver were really into the atmosphere, dancing to the music (Oliver loves to shake his hips) and clapping with everyone. Elsa figured out how fun it could be to yell really loudly, thanks to some tutoring from Ben.

Amelia was still feeling a little sick so she mostly just read her book the whole time. (She was thrilled to be the first one to check out the latest Thea Stilton book from the library earlier that day. A special edition hardcover book. She read all 320 pages that day. A true Thea fan.)

When we arrived, Elsa asked "Is that the baseball court?" Not a lot of sports happening around our house.

Our car was parked about 1/2 mile away. The girls declared they were too tired to walk (even though we had to pry them away from running around playground in the stadium) so Ben took turns carrying them on his shoulders. Oliver was more than happy to walk the whole way.
