We have a tradition of going down to Virginia Beach the day after Thanksgiving to see the Christmas lights on the boardwalk. We hadn't been for a few years so we were excited to make it down this year.

The kids are always thrilled to stay in a hotel. And swim in the pool. Oliver loved hanging out on the balcony and watching the waves.

Amelia packed her own bag for the trip. And immediately unpacked all of her things. And tucked in several stuffed animals.

We always rent a family bike to ride along the boardwalk and then make a stop at this photobooth.

The lights on the boardwalk are really fun. We've seen them expand quite a bit over the years. The kids thought it was cool to ride in the front of the car and stick their heads out the sunroof.

A monster truck. Followed by the nativity. Nice.
