Silver Lake.
We spent the most beautiful afternoon walking around Silver Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon with Ben's dad. The fall colors were amazing and the mountain air was so refreshing.

Park City.
After the ranch, we headed to Park City with the Webbs to celebrate Emma's birthday. We did the Alpine Slide and the Alpine Coaster. The Coaster was my favorite...definitely the most scenic coaster I've been on. Amelia loved them both and screamed (happy screams) the whole way down the mountain. We took the lift to the top of the mountain to do the Alpine Slide and the view was incredible.

I could only get pictures of the quiet ascent on the Alpine Coaster. Coming down was a bit too fast and wild for picture taking. Ben and Amelia were in front of me.

The ranch.
Amelia and Emma were reunited at last. The Webbs were kind enough to host us at their ranch near Heber. We had a great time catching up (Vera is walking!) and watching Amelia and Emma play together again. The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was perfect. Micaela and Phil spoiled us as usual.

Amelia is obsessed with things that are "just her size" so she was thrilled when she saw this play house.

A trip to Utah is never complete without some trampoline time. Amelia hadn't been jumping for more than 3 seconds when she did a face plant.

S'mores!

Late night girl talk.

The lake.
Our next stop was Bear Lake. We met up with my brother Dan (and Rachel and James) and my sister Jenny (and Graysen and Naomi) and spent the night at a condo in Bear Lake. We had fun staying up late playing cards and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of aebleskivers.

The drive through Logan Canyon was gorgeous and brought back so many good memories of childhood and college.

We couldn't miss a trip to La Beau's for burgers and raspberry shakes.

Elsa and James make their debut.

Swimming at the condo.

Elsa is 5 days older than James. I loved the comparison of the two babies and it was so fun to finally see cute James in person.

Olsen cousins.

We took an amazing scenic drive from Bear Lake to our next stop, Heber, through the Monte Cristo Pass. The fall colors were incredible.

The farm.
Our first stop in Utah was my Grandma's house. It always feels so great to relax at the farm. Time always slows down there and it's always so peaceful. It's fun to see Amelia play around on the farm just as I did. My Grandma spoiled us as usual with delicious food, including yummy french toast made with her bread, and sent us home with more honey...yeah!

This chalkboard has entertained many generations of children. Amelia left her signature smiley face and "A for me" drawing.

Travel.
We just returned from a great trip to Utah. As usual, it was a whirlwind tour and we missed seeing many of our family and friends and will hopefully catch you next time. We were able to see and do many things, which is going to require multiple posts since I took over 400 pictures during the week. The weather was perfect and it was great to be able to see the fall colors in the canyons.

Amelia and Elsa were great travelers. A friend let me borrow these car seat wheels and Amelia thought it was pretty cool to ride her car seat around the airport.

Thank goodness for television.

We had reserved a compact car to rent and of course they were out of compact and offered us several gigantic vehicles instead. We went with the impractical convertible.

Amelia loved to watch the top fold down into the trunk, but wasn't so sure about being blown away in the back seat...
