Then it was back home for lots of yard work. While Ben and I were working in the yard, Amelia and Elsa made a house out of a box:
(Of course Amelia had to fancy it up with some fabric scraps.)
Ben set up our new mega tent in the backyard. Amelia and Elsa immediately got to work filling it up with their stuff. Amelia set up a whole house in there and even put some potted flowers at the entrance. Amelia and Elsa had fun sleeping in the tent with dad Saturday night.
Amelia is ALWAYS creating something. It's always fun to see what she comes up with. She made this mixed media tree:
We finished up the evening with dinner outside and then a walk around the neighborhood to try out my new stroller, one of I've been dreaming of for a few years. My strolling has officially been elevated to a new level. One that doesn't involve pushing that pesky sit 'n stand!
Mother's Day was delightful. I was spoiled all day with flowers, homemade cards, a delicious dinner, and a chance to relax all day. And lots of hugs and kisses and "i love you's" from my sweet girls. Oliver even refrained from relentless crying for most of the day. And we were able to squeeze in another evening walk. Unfortunately, we encountered the first mosquitos of the season. Ugh.
amelia's tree art is really something else. i have high hopes for that girl's design future. i seriously love it! ps. you're looking cute as always.
