D.C. weekend

Some good friends from Utah, the Dicksons, came out to the Outer Banks last month for their family reunion. They flew into D.C. a few days early and we were able to drive up and meet them there and hang out for the weekend. We had a great time despite the crazy summer crowds and our kids loved hanging out with their 4 cute girls.

Our road trip got off to a rough start. About an hour into the drive, the car started acting funny. Luckily we found an auto shop that was able to take care of the problem pretty quickly. It delayed us a few hours and cost several hundred dollars, but it could have been worse. And we were glad we got it taken care of before our major road trip to Wisconsin. The kids all fell asleep after we got back on the road which was soooo nice. And then we hit the usual traffic coming into D.C.
