Friday night with Simon

This past Friday night the bigger kids participated in a nature program at a local nature center. We dropped them off for the 3 hour program and they had a great time walking through the wetlands and mud looking for critters and learning about amphibians. They watched a movie and had popcorn too. While they were doing that, I took Simon to Pullen Park and let him ride the boats and we did the train ride together. It was fun to spend some one-on-one time with him. Ben met us for dinner at Gonza Tacos and we had the most delicious meal. I tried their chilaquiles and it was excellent. Simon made us laugh when he randomly picked up my phone in the middle of dinner, took a few photos of his quesadilla and then set it back down. Definitely a child of Instagram. He's obviously seen me take food photos many times and wanted to join in. I forgot how easy dining with one child could be.
