Fourth of July!

We camped out in front of the Washington Monument again this year. The girls had fun playing with their friends. It was a really hot and humid day so I was glad that it was overcast. There was a 60% chance of rain and we have a history of getting poured on at the fireworks so we were happy that it only sprinkled a few times. It's always so fun to be so close to the fireworks. The air was so thick that the smoke didn't clear away and by the finale there was smoke everywhere and we ended up getting a bunch of ash dumped on us.

Why won't anyone look at the camera?

Oliver with his buddy Grant.

Amelia was excited that she had patriotic boots.

Amelia loved the fireworks, especially the heart-shaped kind. Elsa didn't care about watching the fireworks at all. Oliver was completely entranced by them.

  1. Looks like a lot of fun. I want some fourth of July cupcakes! We missed the fireworks this year but last year James wasn't interested in them either - strange.

  2. Love those red boots! Hello from Utah! We miss you all. That little man of yours is getting so big! He is such a doll. I love the hat he is sporting!
