Jordan Lake

Spent a beautiful afternoon at Jordan Lake with Ruby and Simon one day. The water was warm and the weather was beautiful. And we had the entire beach to ourselves.

Mother's Day

Ben surprised me with a lunch date on Saturday. We went to Tupelo Honey and had some delicious food. It was just down the street from the Rose Garden so we walked around there after lunch. We had a yummy baked french toast breakfast Sunday morning and the kids made me lots of sweet cards. Ben grilled up some delicious chicken and veggie kebabs for dinner and I was able to do a video chat with my mom and siblings. The girls ended the night with a performance on the stage. The next day I got to attend a special tea at Oliver's class. Being a mom to these five amazing kids is one of the greatest blessings in my life.

Playing "follow the leader" at the park one night. I love being with these kids.

Greensboro Children's Museum

The kids had an early release from school one Friday so we headed to Greensboro to visit the Children's Museum. Ben even got to join us which was so great. The kids love this museum and I love that it never seems to be very crowded there. They have some really fun exhibits and I love that all five kids were happy and busy. I'm glad that Amelia is still into pretend play. They even let our whole family in for free because they were getting ready for a grand opening of a new exhibit the next day and their main lobby was closed. Score. We found a really yummy Mediterranean place for dinner in Greensboro (Sarah's Kabob Shop).
