April happenings

Random photos from April: Shakes at Sonic, letting the girls skip school one day to help me out while Ben was out of town, pajama day at preschool, our first Sunday evening stroll as a family of 7 at Yates Mill, an afternoon walk at Lake Wheeler, and lots of snuggles with our sweet little Ruby.

Simon turns 3!

We had fun celebrating Simon's birthday in April. He loved opening presents and blowing out the candles on his cake. He requested a strawberry cake with lots of whipped cream. He spent the afternoon playing with his new outdoor bowling set and a soccer goal and ball that Oliver has pretty much taken over. He got a little bug net and insisted on taking it everywhere for the next few days.

Simon spent the first four weeks of Ruby's life watching a LOT of his favorite show, Special Agent Oso. He was thrilled to get his very own stuffed Oso from Grandma Olsen (who also became very familiar with Oso while she was here).

Ruby's first bath

Lots of helping hands for Ruby's first bath. Oliver would ask daily if it was time for her bath. He was very excited about using the baby bathtub.
