This afternoon we were able to meet up with my dad for a few hours. He had some top secret work involving fromage frais in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania. He flew into Baltimore and we met him at a park (Patapsco Valley State Park). Despite the rain, we still decided to attempt a picnic and go exploring. The rain stopped just as we began a walk and it didn't start raining again until we left the park. The walk was beautiful with all the rain-soaked tree trunks and the new green leaves and wildflowers. We had the forest entirely to ourselves, other than a huge group of deer that bounded by. My dad was kind enough to carry Elsa around in the backpack and Amelia was a trooper and walked the entire 1 1/2 hours by herself. We enjoyed a picnic after our walk and then parted ways.
