NC State Fair

I decided at the last minute to attempt the State Fair with Simon and Ruby. I surprised Elsa by taking her out of school that day so she could join us. I was happy to have her help with Ruby and Simon and loved being able to surprise her with something fun. (Ben ended up taking Amelia and Oliver one evening later that week.) We had a great time looking at all the exhibits, riding a few rides, and eating some interesting fried foods (the fried jello was actually quite good). The kids also got to do a free five-minute horseback riding lesson which they loved.
