We have been catching fireflies every night. Amelia likes to put them in a jar in her room and use them as her night light.
Getting dirty + eating popsicles:
We had fun at a friend's house playing in the water. Elsa loved roaming free in the mud.
Swimming:
Amelia with her friend Miriam.
Elsa is not a fan of the water. I tried to keep her in the pool for awhile so she would get used to the colder water but she just screamed. She was content to sit in the stroller and watch us. Or climb on the loungers.
Dinner picnics:
Saturday night we had a picnic while listening to a bell concert at the Netherlands Carillon. We had fun playing tag and then walked around the Iwo Jima Memorial.
My confession: I have never seen a firefly in real life. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI am ready to come visit again! Seeing all these fun pictures makes me want to come for a visit! I love that Elsa's hair is getting curly like her big sisters. Lucky! One question, do the firefly's make it through the night? Ian loves to catch bugs in jars, but they either die, or he gets them out and plays with them and they are injured, or he lets them go quickly after he puts them in. I'm sure Amelia is a kind an gentle soul.
ReplyDeleteSarah, is it just me, or does Elsa look more and more like you with every picture?!
ReplyDeleteI love your pix. They always make me happy to see all of the fun times y'all are making.
(Jaime, you'll just have to start making some trips to visit your Olsen cousins living east of the Mississippi to enjoy the firefly nights.)
