Easter weekend

We had such a fun Easter weekend. The Littles joined us Saturday night on their way home from Florida. The kids got right down to business, playing in the backyard until it was dark and then getting crafty in the art room, putting together a pretend birthday party. We had a big breakfast Easter morning and then the Pinkneys (who were still in the area for their spring break) joined us for the rest of the day and we had a great time catching up with old friends, eating, watching conference, having an Easter egg hunt, and taking an evening walk around the neighborhood.

Salted caramel morning bread pudding from Smitten Kitchen and a blueberry french toast casserole from Sally's Baking Addiction. Both made with challah from La Farm. Yum!

Our favorite 3-layer malted Begian chocolate cake with toasted marshmallow frosting inside. Toasted coconut nest for the Easter edition. Sugar coma. But so good.

The girls were really into peeling the eggs (and using candy coated eggs for blue lipstick). I loved having egg salad sandwiches for the next few days.

Bunny bread from La Farm!

Oliver was in heaven with his buddy Calvin there.
