art gallery

My friend Jessica organized an art show for the kids and it was so much fun. All the kids brought some of their art work and hung it up. They each got to talk about their art and then ribbons were awarded. The girls loved it. They especially loved coming up with titles for their artwork and having an "official label" for it.

How cool are these ribbons Jessica made using washi tape!

Amelia has been working on drawings of her "dream house" for the last few months. I think I'll have to do a separate post dedicated to the details of her dream house (there's an IHOP and an Eiffel Tower for starters). She LOVES telling us all about it so she was excited to display it and get a chance to talk to people about it at the art show.

The girls were recently introduced to oil pastels and love them.

art show.

We had fun attending the art show at Amelia's school. It was a rainforest theme this year. She had five different art projects on display. One of the things Amelia loves most about school is her art class so she was excited to show her work to us.

The kids always love checking out the farm animals in the courtyard at the school.

art show.

Amelia's school had an art show one evening last week. Amelia was so excited to show us the artwork she had hanging in the school. She was also thrilled that she won a prize in the raffle. One of Amelia's favorite things about school is her art class. We are constantly picking up papers all around the house that she has drawn on. We love to see the creative things she comes up with.

There are farm animals in the courtyard. Elsa loves to check on the giant rabbits.
