California: Muir Woods

We loved going on a walk through Muir Woods National Monument. The redwood trees were amazing and everything was so green.

Fog was settling in by the time we drove back to Erin's house.

Luckily our trip back home was pretty uneventful. We had a direct flight which was great and ended up with an empty seat in our row so Simon was able to sit in his car seat again. Everyone was back to their normal, healthy selves by the time we got home. Of course.

California: Golden Gate Bridge

California: San Francisco Botanical Garden

On our last day in California, Erin took us to the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park. It was huge and beautiful. It was fun to see so many different types of flowers and plants than what we are used to here in the East. The kids loved running around and climbing trees (although we got in trouble for that) and they especially loved playing in the big meadow. We also made a quick stop to see the Dutch windmill.
