River Farm

River Farm is one of my favorite spots in the area. I think I'm feeling especially nostalgic these days for all of my favorite spots. I went to my very first playgroup there when Amelia was just a baby. I met so many wonderful friends that day that are still dear friends today. Several years later I met my friend Jessica there. She has shared countless adventures with me since then. My friend Jill took photos of Amelia with her best friend Emma at River Farm. Emma was Amelia's first and dearest friend and I treasure those photos.

I enjoyed another beautiful afternoon there with Oliver and Simon a few weeks ago. We played in the children's garden, wandered through the meadow, and hiked down to the river to throw rocks in the water.

These gates used to be at the White House.

river farm

Another gorgeous morning spent at River Farm, one of my all-time favorite spots in the area. Beautiful river views, fields of wildflowers, giant butterflies, and flowers blooming everywhere.

We were all wearing stripes unintentionally.

The grass sofa is always a favorite spot.

a morning at river farm.

We enjoyed a beautiful morning at Washington's River Farm last week, one of my favorite spots. Elsa and Oliver loved running around in the children's garden. We don't often make the walk down to the water but we decided to do more exploring this time and loved the walk through the meadow to get to the river. We had fun following different paths and listening for different birds.
