California: San Diego day 2

I loved going for morning runs on the boardwalk. A few mornings Simon woke up early and it was so nice to just stick him in the stroller and head out to the boardwalk or the beach. The morning temperatures were so cool and perfect for a run, much better than the yucky humidity we had been experiencing back home (and are experiencing this week). I also saw lots of dolphins each morning.

After hanging out on the beach in the morning, we headed to some tide pools. The kids had so much fun climbing on the rocks and searching for sea life. We spotted a few little sharks too.

Finished off the day with dinner in Old Town San Diego. The kids liked watching the tortillas be made while we waited for our table.

California: San Diego day 1

Ben's family gathered in San Diego this summer for a reunion. We stayed at some fun cottages right on the beach. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins. After settling in the first afternoon, we spent the evening on the beach, watching a beautiful sunset.

California: Walt Disney Studios

Before making our way to San Diego, we stopped by Corey's work for a tour. Since he happens to work at Disney Studios, it was a pretty awesome tour!

I didn't think to get a picture of the whole Dyckman family at any point, but at least Sarah and I had a picture together. Thanks for being such great hosts Dyckmans!
