Amelia has been asking me when we would get snow, and I had to keep explaining that we just don't get much snow in Virginia. This was an early Christmas present for sure.
We had the best snow day ever yesterday. And it is continuing today. Plus, Ben has the next two weeks off of work so we're in no hurry to dig out of the mess.
We had a big breakfast of crepes, played in the snow with neighbors, drank hot chocolate, took a nice long afternoon nap, watched Christmas movies, played games, and just watched the snow fall. I forgot how quiet everything becomes when it snows.
We spent about 45 minutes getting ready to go outside and play. Elsa wasn't so sure about the snow, mostly because she had a hard time moving in it.
She's down.
Ben built an awesome sledding ramp.

Wow, how fun!! I had no idea you were were having such wintry weather. I love a perfect snow day before Christmas, it just seems to make the season complete.
ReplyDeleteThat's more snow than we got in Green Bay! I hope it doesn't mess up our travel plans.
ReplyDeleteFirst, when you say "crepes" are you really making rollups?
ReplyDeleteSecond, that pig is hilarious and I stared at that picture forever because it looked like a dead animal head... mom explained what it was.
Third, I love seeing the kids in their Christmas suits! I just want to run up and squish them all. I sure miss winter.
