Ecuador: Banos

After our jungle excursion, we headed to beautiful Banos where we spent two nights at a cute little hotel with pretty mountain views. Everything was so green. We headed out early our first morning and walked to the local hot springs where we soaked in the super hot pool for a few minutes, stood under the freezing water from the waterfall and then hopped in the comfortable warm pool. We picked up some fresh bread (and dodged lots of stray dogs) on our walk back to the hotel. Best way to start the day!

We headed back out to hike to a few different waterfalls. The biggest and most amazing was El Diablo. It was insane! We were able to get so close to it and walk behind it. There were a few different hikes to different sides of the waterfall. One hike we had to crawl through a cave and some tight spots to get right next to the waterfall and then walk behind it. It was loud and wet and amazing!
