Lazy 5 Ranch

The kids had a day off of school so we decided a family adventure was in order. Ben took the day off and found this fun animal park called the Lazy 5 Ranch near Charlotte. It was a drive-through park where you feed animals from your car. The animals were very aggressive (our poor scratched up car can prove that) and eager for food. The girls were freaked out at first and alternated between screaming and laughing. Oliver loved it and wasn't scared of the animals. Simon loved it as long as the animals didn't get too close. Mostly he just liked being out of his car seat. There were all kinds of animals but my favorite were the zebras. They also had a petting zoo and a playground. The kids were in heaven. We made a stop at Ikea in Charlotte before heading home and the kids were thrilled to be dropped off in the play area. (Sadly, no Ikea in Raleigh.)
