The scenery was beautiful as we drove around the island to our hotel. We arrived just before the sun went down so we didn't get much time to enjoy the beautiful views at the hotel. Even though it was nearly dark and pretty cold, the kids insisted on swimming in the outdoor pool. Ben was kind enough to swim with them.

Road Trip: Maine (lobster!)
We found a great little hidden lobster shack for lunch. The setting was gorgeous and we had the place to ourselves. There was also a playground which was so perfect for the kids while we waited for our lobster. I got a lobster roll since trying to eat straight lobster is far too much work. The kids got to touch the lobsters in the tank and were fascinated/grossed out by the whole experience. Amelia refused to try the lobster, Elsa tried it (and still loves to talk about her lobster eating experience), and Oliver tried it and asked for more. (Simon ate it too but he eats anything, edible or not.)

Road Trip: Maine (Pemaquid Point Light)
Our next stop was Pemaquid Point Light, another beautiful lighthouse on the rocky coast (located at the tip of the Pemaquid Neck).
