Ben had been working some crazy long hours trying to finish up some operating rooms at Johns Hopkins. He had worked for nearly a month straight (through weekends), leaving early and getting home late. (He was kind enough to show me some images of exposed brains from the brain surgeries he had to observe in the new rooms. Proof of his hard work I guess. Why would you ever want to be a neurosurgeon?) So we were thrilled when the project ended a few weeks ago and he was home during daylight hours! He even got home early enough to pick up Elsa from preschool and it was the perfect occasion to grab burgers from BGR and enjoy them outside at Jones Point Park. Followed by some swinging. The kids were thrilled to have dad back. Dad = underdogs on the swings. (Does anyone out there say underduck instead of underdog?)

Underduck? Is that a MidWestern thing? Never heard it. Glad Ben's long hours are over.
