Our next stop was
Lunchbox in Frederick, a fun lunch place by Bryan Voltaggio (of Top Chef fame). It was in a great location in downtown Frederick on the Carroll Creek Promenade. The kids loved running along the water and watching the ducks. I spent most of my time trying to keep Oliver out of the water.
Our food was delicious. Amelia had the grilled cheese and Elsa had the grilled nutella and banana sandwich. Both were awesome. I was actually happy that the girls didn't finish their food. My sandwich was fantastic with portabella mushrooms, pesto, sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese on ciabatta. And the McCutcheon's vanilla cream soda was a definite winner.
Everyone fought over the South Mountain Creamery chocolate milk. Oliver insisted on using two straws at once to maximize his turn. The chocolate chip cookies were also delicious.

So jealous you went to the lunchbox! He just opened another restaurant with a diner theme and another one is in the works. I wish Frederick was closer.
