last day of school.

Amelia had her last day of second grade last Tuesday. We were both ready for school to be done (and homework) and summer to begin.

I enjoyed walking to the school with all the kids to pick up Amelia every day. Except when I had to wake one of them up from their nap to do it. When Ben isn't traveling (which has been rare lately), one of the many perks of having him work at home is the ability to do school drop off or pick up or run other errands without all the kids.

That night Amelia and Elsa put together their own restaurant (called the Animal Diner) and invited me to dine there. They made a menu and served the food.

This table was apparently just for show. Or for more important customers. I was seated on the ground.
