green bay: botanical garden

Phew. I think this is the last Green Bay post. We had such a great week with everyone and it was sad to say good-bye. (It turned out to be a quick good-bye since we almost missed our flight. We made it. The bags didn't. But that's another story.)

I wish our visits could be more frequent. Before flying home on Monday night, we fit in one last adventure and went to the Botanical Gardens. There were so many beautiful flowers blooming. They have a great children's garden and we spent most of our time there.

Graysen was a good sport and posed with Elsa.

After the gardens, Ben took the kids swimming one last time and then Amelia and Naomi presented an art show to us (they had hung their drawings all around the living room and told us about each one).

Thanks mom and dad for such a great week!

green bay: lighthouses

We went on a Sunday afternoon drive to see a few lighthouses and take a stroll on the beach. My parents are excellent tour guides. Wisconsin is so beautiful! The water and sky were so blue and the weather was delightful.

green bay: wildlife

Saturday we ventured out to the Wildlife Sanctuary and fed the geese and checked out all the cool birds (including lots of owls!). The Wildlife Sanctuary also has some fun indoor displays and an indoor slide that the kids loved.

Our next stop was the zoo. The girls were excited to see the giraffes and penguins (two things our zoo doesn't have).

Oliver was interested in everything but the (real) animals.

I remember climbing this tower when I was a kid. Amelia, Naomi, and Elsa went up and down several times. I don't know where they got their energy.
