green bay: children's museum

A new children's museum had just opened downtown and we were excited to check it out. It was small but they packed a lot into the compact space. The kids loved it and could have spent all afternoon there.

Before the museum, my parents took us out to lunch at a fantastic vegetarian cafe downtown called Kavarna. The food was delicious. Plus, they had a great play area for the kids (with mid-century modern furniture!) which kept them busy while we waited for our food.

(I got lazy about taking my nice camera anywhere for the rest of the week so it's pretty much iphone photos from here on out.)

Of course the children's museum had to include a Packers-themed area.

Oliver went down this slide approximately one million times.

The girls especially loved the diner, the market, and the shoe store. You could collect a "paycheck" at each place you worked and then feed it into an ATM and get money.

We broke out the backyard water toys later that day. We improvised with the sled until we located the kiddie pool.
