Great Smoky Mountains: Clingmans Dome + river fun

We hiked to the top of Clingmans Dome. It was short but steep. The views were incredible. It's the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains. On our way back to the cabin, we stopped at the river and found a great spot to play. Because it was late in the evening, everyone was gone and we had it to ourselves. The kids loved playing in the river. We ended the night with pb&j sandwiches and fireflies lining the river banks. It was such a fun, beautiful summer night.
