decorating the tree

We knew Ruby was close to crawling in November. She finally figured it out, just in time for all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree! She loved to try and get to all the lights and ornaments. She was pretty excited about her new skill. Ben hung the lights and the big kids helped me decorate the tree and the girls helped set up most of the nativity sets which was very helpful. We picked up a tree at Home Depot for the family room. The next week Ben brought home a cheap tree from the grocery store (which was actually just as nice) to put in the piano room. Between the two trees the house smelled SO good and felt so festive. I put a TON of lights on the piano room tree which I loved, especially since we didn't have many ornaments for it. The girls got to put the artificial tree we used to have in the piano room in their bedroom. And the boys got to have a smaller artificial tree from a post-Christmas sale in their room. It was fun to have bedtime stories by the light of the Christmas trees.
